Absolutely, but they couldn't very well have the man drawing breath to be able to take the stand at some point and talk about how much he despised Trump. At a minimum, some journalist would've gotten permission to interview him and then the cat's out of the bag.

Correct. Trump spoke to the FBI and other DOJ elements multiple times about his concerns regarding Epstein's behavior. This is also why it is retarded for folks to see Elon's feint last year about "Trump is in the Epstein files" as some sort of admission of guilt.
Of course he was named in the DOJ files - he dropped a dime on Epstein multiple times.
