Jeff Landry needs to convince Trump to bring Space Force Academy to Louisiana

This will be a similar institution as the Air Force or Naval Academy, with all of the Aerospace manufacturing in Nola, SpaceX coming, and LSU being a great science and engineering school… it would be a natural fit to attach the newly proposed school to LSU near Innovation Park in Baton Rouge or the NASA New Orleans location.
I think we are 1 of 4 likely destinations, Houston, Huntsville or Florida being the other 3.

As much as this would be a great idea, I think Florida is the best place to put it to help with recruiting. Sunny beaches and more consistent weather will attract more people

It’s interesting because Florida has a lot of advantages, NASA would probably want it in Houston or Florida, but Dept of War would probably want it in Huntsville… but man if we could get it here…with all the tech companies coming here, it could be amazing for Louisiana’s future

LA could absolutely be a branch of the academy....but Texas FL Alabama are a better choice for home base...

I asked ChatGPT where the best place would be if it came to Louisiana and it said near innovation park south of LSU’s campus and could utilize the university to boost the school immediately
Or NASA New Orleans location
Beyond the students who would graduate and go into space force or SpaceX, you’d be training a bunch of top stem students who could stay in Louisiana and work or create companies. Would be huge for the future and diversifying our economy further away from just oil and gas
