We dislike cunning behavior too, as Americans. Well, some of us do.
On the other hand, you have a demographic of people in the US that live their lives like they were on a reality TV show, because that's what they want to be. It's constant mind games, drama, hysterics and materialism. We would be better off without these people. And that's not even getting started on the absolute masters of cunning behavior, being the media and politicians.

Nothing enrages me more than dishonest people thinking they’re clever or smart bc they can’t win playing by the rules of decency.

You just described Islam, Taqiyya ... but you left out the part about violence and terrorism as a means to an end.
