Did he explain his answers in his testimony while under oath, that he saw no Evidence that Trump or his team, had any connection or collusion with Russia...but on interviews like this, saying the opposite?

Can’t help but notice the change in demeanor of Clapper in that shot. It looks like he is in day two of the stomach flu.
He was fairly forceful in his condemnation of Trump in some earlier days on CNN.

this is from his Wikipedia page
Journalist Matt Taibbi recounts in Rolling Stone magazine that Clapper was questioned about evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during a March 2017 appearance on the television program Meet The Press.
Chuck Todd asked: Were there improper contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials?
JAMES CLAPPER: We did not include any evidence in our report, and I say, “our,” that's N.S.A., F.B.I. and C.I.A., with my office, the Director of National Intelligence, that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that…
CHUCK TODD: I understand that. But does it exist?
JAMES CLAPPER: Not to my knowledge.
Todd pressed him to elaborate.
CHUCK TODD: If [evidence of collusion] existed, it would have been in this report?
JAMES CLAPPER: This could have unfolded or become available in the time since I left the government.
This is the former Director of National Intelligence telling all of us that as of 12:01 a.m. on January 20th, when he left government, the intelligence agencies had no evidence of collusion between Donald Trump's campaign and the government of Vladimir Putin's Russia.[96]
In a speech at Australia's National Press Club in June Clapper accused Trump of "ignorance or disrespect", called the firing of FBI director James Comey "inexcusable", and warned of an "internal assault on our institutions".[97]
In June 2017, Clapper opined that Trump-Russia scandal is more serious than the Watergate scandal of the 1970s.[98] In December 2017, Clapper said that Russian President Vladimir Putin "knows how to handle an asset, and that’s what he’s doing with" President Trump.[99] In his 2018 memoir Facts and Fears: Hard Truths from a Life in Intelligence, Clapper further addressed the issue.

I bet his lawyer "pulled the plug" to keep him from incriminating himself. He needs to go prison as does Comey, and Brennan. I will not get my hopes up for any higher than that.

Replying to @tomselliott
Clapper, asked whether he’ll accept Sen. Graham’s call to testify: "Given my age demographic, I’d be happy to come after I’ve been vaccinated for Covid-19 ... I don’t particularly want to put my life or my wife’s in jeopardy” [says remote testimony possible]
@tomselliott
Clapper: I was unmasking Americans “once or twice a week” but “I don’t recall what prompted a request that was made on my behalf for unmasking” Flynn.

It was a weasel question. He did not say he didn't leak Flynn's name. He said he did not leak to David Ignatius.
