Fify. I'm not ceding the term liberal. I've started using it to describe myself. I'm also very conservative.

I just refuse to surrender "liberal" to people who hate freedom, hate our country and hate free speech and other Constitutional protections. To people who fear and despise true equality under the law, and seek to rule over the minds, acts and omissions of others with legalistic pharisaic piety, via scientism (not actual science) and technological abuses, while bowing to (or wielding, as the case may be) the power of a neo fascist state, but signaling an ersatz antifascism.

It's also fun to confuse leftist-statist regressives in conversation. E. g., "I really wish our son's school were more liberal. Yeah, they are teaching some shite dangerously close to critical race theory, have BLM signs, and they don't even say the pledge or allow students to pray voluntarily. And they even banned Huck fricking Finn."

Things are constantly changing but I'm not ready to give up.
