No you were incorrect in your previous post when you said "nobody" wanted these girls, you realize that right?
Please reference my previous post where I said "nobody" wanted these girls.

Absolutely. As long as people are peacefully assembling in a non violent manner on public property, I have absolutely no qualms. You see, I'm for freedom whether I personally agree with the cause or not. Judging by your posts, I know that may sound strange to you.

My bad, you're right. You never said "nobody" wanted them. You said:

why I would object to "shaming" an org into taking someone the whole group didn't want.
The "whole group didn't want" them?

Northerners say the same thing about Southerners.

Football recruits don't give a crap about this.
They are looking at how playing for a certain school may affect their future.
You are gullible as hell if you think players would pass up playing for Saban because of this.
I'm not saying every football player does, but I have a feeling that Urban Meyer or Brady Hoke if they are going against Nick for a black recruit from Ohio would have no problem letting him be aware of this.
Plus in reality, Nick has to hate stuff like this making any type of news. Nick would gladly like to not have to plan on what to say if a parent brings this up with Nick.
Plus anything that hurts Alabama football is fine with me.

This won't be a zit on Alabama football's arse.

Urban Meyer will do anything and it could work with a kid from Ohio or PA. Urban Meyer is the most negative recruiter out there and negative recruiting must work out okay from him.
But like I said, anything that causes Nick stress or problems is fine with me. Let Alabama look bad about this.

I dunno about that. It's not as obvious, but the Confederate symbolism at Ole Miss works against them in recruiting.

Exactly! If the confederate symbolism wasn't a problem they would still be flying the confederate battle flag in the stadium.

Fine with me. Let's hope more recruits feel that way about Alabama because of this. They can go to LSU instead.

I think a lot of them have different approaches depending on the recruit.
We had a player about 10 years ago who said a major factor in his decision was that NTP was the only coach who didn't use negative recruiting.

quote:How many UA sororities were all-white prior to this 2013-14 academic year?
That's correct. The alum of this particular silly sorority were not shamed into accepting some young lady they didn't approve of whether the reasons were skin color, family tree, car she drove, the way she dressed, hair color or complexion.

Alas, you have to spoil it with some petty quibbling.
Semantics aside, do you understand what I meant about the shaming? People aren't like a dog that laid a turd in the living room. You can shame someone, and even though you're right and they agree with you, they'll resent it. It's better to lead a horse to water, and then let him take a drink when he's ready.

Yes, I fully understand what you meant, I just disagree with your take.

This fairy tale you live in must be great. But in the real world, lets say there is a person who, for example, absolutely hates Asians, thinks they are the scum of the Earth and will never allow them in his place of business. I am NOT for govt doing anything about it or punishing him. I AM for people picketing, calling the local news station, and bad-mouthing him on social media in order to spread the word about his views.
You think thats "wrong?" You would prefer a sit down intervention where everybody hugs and talks about their feelings, while trying to get this guy to change his views about Asians?

certain behaviors need to be marginalized before change can occur though.

I have no clue, and there's not an issue lower on my list than what the racial makeup of some frat/sorority happens to be.
