Virtually every arab Muslim state in the region offers more this year alone than Israel did in its entire existence. It's a fricking joke.

The unwavering support for Israel here is mind-blowing. They take our money and weapons while actively spying on us, defying the terms by which we agreed to give them their money/weapons, constantly antagonizing neighboring states and forcing us to calm shite down, undermining our attempts to protect them from otherwise certain destruction and all the while the only benefit we receive is having a tiny sliver of land in the ME which supposedly doesn't unanimously hate us...except most of them still hate us.

As with everything else in politics, follow the money

I'm still convinced a huge part of it is the idea that God will punish us if we stop supporting them because the Bible says so.
I say it's time to call God's bluff.

What angers me is that the troops we have to use to calm shite down come back to the US and get treated like shite with a shitty VA system, and many of which are out on the streets, and we don't help them out, meanwhile we continue to give foreign aid and money and such to Israel.
How can anyone say we should give funding to Israel instead of our own veterans is beyond me. Once we have our own vets taken care of then maybe we can consider sending more money Israel's way.

I don't think this was always 5he sentiment on the issue. Tons of money and propaganda concerning this issue has been pumped into the feeble cuck brains of this country for more than 100 years.
Even the most ardent nationalists gobble Israeli dong. It's ridiculous. Someone posted yesterday that Reagan stated that the US ensuring the survival of Israel was the position that he felt most strongly about in his whole life. An American President believed that another country's survival was the most important conviction in his LIFE.
What a Cuck.

I am a big big Christian and the whole "You are not a true Christian unless you are a mega super ultra supporter of Israel" mantra makes me ill. I've had to leave a couple of churches over it. One church I used to attend the propaganda was so thick you could cut it with a knife, it was as if the church was North Korea and the nation of Israel/the Israeli people were the Kim Family.
Israel was God's Holy Land and People in the Old Testament, not the New Testament. According to the Bible, God's people now are those who accept Jesus as their savior, not people who are born into the Jewish faith and/or live in Israel. John 14:6 makes this pretty clear - there is no exception or carve out in that passage.
It's a shame so many Christian pastors and churches have been hoodwinked into all of this, being used as pawns to spread such a mindset.

That's exactly what it is.
Just so happened this church I went to was affiliated with this organization called Eagle's Wings Ministries. The organization was basically one giant ultra pro-Israel Christian ministry. Hmmmmm. I wonder if any money exchanged hands here. Hmmmm. I wonder if Eagle's Wings Ministries gets any funding from any groups or special interests. Hmmmm.
The ministry is run by a man named Robert Sterns, who also came to speak at the church I attended. I wonder what this guy's bank account and tax returns would look like. Hmmmm.
Here is the mission statement page of Eagles' Wing's Website: LINK
quote:
1. The Christian church owes a debt of gratitude to Israel and the Jewish people.
2. The Christian Church owes a debt of repentance to the Jewish people.
3. 3. We stand for common values against common enemies.

I agree with you to the extent of the people but the land is still the only land in the world that has been given a deed by God. His plan concerning Israel is still in play

I mean, when you consider many of these people are the same ones who preach that the Earth is 10k years old and the Noah story actually happened it isn't hard to imagine. Blind support for Israel is tame in comparison on the absurdity scale.
I do find it hilarious that most Israel supporters are staunch nationalists and don't see the incredible hypocrisy in their views.

Agreed! Israel is the only reliable, albeit not perfect, ally the US has in that part of the world. If the Palestinians want land, they can claim some in the rest of the Arab world, there is certainly plenty there. They don't need the tiny sliver that is Israel.

The answer is in the Bible. It's not just a religious book!

I think you have to factor guilt into the equation as well.
For example look at this laughable, that totally happened excerpt from the Eagles Wings mission statement:
quote:
My good friend George from New York, a Jew who was raised in Cleveland, experienced the results of anti-Semitism personally when he was a young boy. While walking to school through his mostly Catholic neighborhood, he was surrounded by a large group of older boys from the local Catholic school. “You killed Christ!” they screamed at him. “You put Jesus on the cross!” The boys then proceeded to surround young George, trapping him so that he could not escape while they urinated on him.
Not to mention, they had to throw this in there as well:
quote:
The culmination of this, in a sense, was the sin of silence and apathy of the European “Christian” church in the 1930’s, which in great majority sat idly by while 6 million innocent members of Jesus’ biological family were liquidated in Hitler’s ovens.
Yeah, because Christians were the brains behind the holocaust. Freaking idiots.

Hang on just a second. Why is it up to the Palestinians to claim land. Why shouldn't it be up to Israel. Israel was the one who unfairly took the land by force from the Palestinians in the early 20th century.

Please cite specific examples of this reliability. Ive been in the region for multiple decades and have never seen any evidence of this so-called reliable Alliance. Ive seen a ton of liability though.
We do however have reliable relationships with arab states in the region, even the ones we've invaded (multiple times).
