I've thought (and heard friends say) 'How can liberals believe what they believe? Aren't they seeing the same news as me?' Those algorithms are making sure that each side is seeing very different news, thus greatly enhancing the discord.

I know this sounds like hyperbole but I think it is the single worst threat America faces right now and its already far too late do anything about it. We went over the falls years ago, we just havent crashed yet. We might in 5 weeks.

All the conviction you have and the absolute certainty you feel when you stare at the idiot liberals in disbelief is 100 percent going on with me and my liberal friends when we stare at you. It is absolutely astounding when I come here and see the same phrases and patterns from our boards, except flipped. Even shite as standard as projection; 50 times a day theres a post here about how the Left is always doing whatever it is they accuse you of.

THAT shite IS ON OUR BOARDS 50 TIMES A DAY TOO.

We have both gotten so deep into this, at some point we all had a choice between 2 links and we clicked the one that was closer to what we wanted to hear and confirming the beliefs we already held and the algorithims kicked in, they showed us another, and then another, and another, hour after hour, day after day, year after year, like whittling a stick; a million small and specific cuts turned one thing into another. we have now been dragged so far apart I have no idea how to fix this.
