Is there anything that we can all agree on?

Oftentimes I get to thinking about how fricked we are as a nation and society. I know that's not terribly productive, but it's hard to disregard that thought in the current political or societal climate. So I think about how we as a nation reconcile our current state.
It seems pretty certain that this nation is going to crumble in a relatively short period of time regardless of how this election plays out. And it's for this reason - there is absolutely NOTHING that binds its citizens. There is no religious common ground, no moral common ground, no convictions that seem shared by the masses. I don't see how we can exist much longer with this being the case.
Tell me I'm wrong. What is there that can possibly hold this thing together? It seems that in 2020 in America, there is nothing that everyone can agree on as being good. Nothing everyone can agree on as being bad. What binds us at this point?

I am currently on a two week vacation in Colorado and mostly disconnected from social media and the news.

But the real world outside isn't as bad as it looks on tv or twitter. I'm sure it does in some parts where antifa/blm are camped out though...
But going around doing my daily life, it ain't bad at all. Everyone appears nice and decent.
