Is there a gayer phrase in politics than "Country Over Party"?

And does it mean anything other than Republicans need to shut up and vote exactly how we tell them to?

I can't even tell you how many times I've seen someone use that phrase lately and it's odd because I don't think I've ever once seen someone tell Democrats to put country over party even though they always vote in lockstep every single time

I agree with this statement on principle, but what Democrats mean when they say it is different from what I mean. What they mean is

Yes, it usually refers to something the other side wants, and to screw the people for other’s interest

Country over government is a great saying that needs to spread!
