We’re awaiting committee clearance.
Unfortunately the chair (and members) of the committee tasked with seeing the TEXIT Referendum Act (HB 3596) is … uninformed.
TEXIT folks will be testifying this week in front of said committee, but I don’t feel optimistic.
But in each lege session we grow.
Our neighbors in Quebec, Scotland, pro-Brexit, etc. are actively guiding & supporting the cause.
We aren’t going away.
TEXIT isn’t a slogan; it’s a movement.
What we’re experiencing is exactly what every other independence movement across the globe has faced.
And there’ve been hundreds of successful attempts.
It’s a laborious task that doesn’t happen overnight; but the alternative isn’t acceptable.
Our numbers increase (crazily) by the month.
We’ll continue to hold events, shake hands at watering holes, meet at large events, and educate the populace re: Texas Independence.
The best people to govern Texas are Texans.

This is what people don't grasp. Give it a minute and the feds won't mean a lot anymore. Dollar's going down. Move power to dispersed networks. Take them all out.

The plan always was that states would be sovereign and federal government would support the states, not control the country as we have today.
Thank the 17th Amendment. It’s been all downhill since the states lost the power to appoint Senators. Repealing that amendment would go a LONG way towards fixing our issues.

I argued that it was women's suffrage on my AP history exam a long time ago. Feelings !- facts, budgets, realism, etc.

No, the Right holds no power in this country.
State governors will do whatever the Fed tells them to do. Any governor that sniffs secession will see the faucet of Federal $ cut off and will fall back in line.
