Instead of Biden giving billions to Ukraine each month...

...what about War Bonds.
Here's the idea:
Biden announces that the US govt will no longer send financial aid to Ukraine. However, US citizens are encouraged to buy "Ukraine Victory War Bonds"!
The bonds will be $1,000 and you can buy as many as you want.
They will mature in 1 year and give you 1% interest. All of the money will go to Ukraine.
Would you buy some?

Well, I was figuring that 1,000 today = 100 during WWII. I'm not sure if you can buy bonds back then for under 100.

The program would go broke faster than CNN+. Because in reality, despite the noise and amplification, the vast majority of people don't give a shite.

Hmmm, they could be backed by Ukraine. But if Russia wins the war they might not pay you.
