Anyone associated with this low point is going to have their reputation impacted. Most of us outside of that group want nothing whatsoever to do with Trump, his family or his staunch supporters.

But you know what, each one of them has one vote just like you do. And they all count for the same. Pat yourselves on the back all you want. It won't change anything.

I live in the American south (by choice after living in far more affluent areas).
It isnt a lack of empathy. I understand the how and why some decent people turned to a strongman who found perfect foils for them to blame for their problems. Its a powerful message. But dont confuse empathy with sympathy. Those folks have harmed this country a great deal. Degraded the Presidency and our standing as a nation. Put the nail in the coffin on what will be a hopeless divide until the older generation starts to fade out.

Like i said there are many factors. But Trump has escalated all of our existing differences in some very disturbing ways.

25% of the population consider themselves as liberal. Roughly 12% as very liberal

Y'all are a very small group of the population far removed from mainstream but due to control of media and your tiny bubbles, think you are faaar more accepted than you really are

By existing?

YOU chose to chop off your duck. Real men still don't think you're a woman. Never will...even though you cut it off.

Are you under the impression that your side gains voters differently? Democrats win elections by going into places and blaming the rich, the system, etc for the problems that affect their base. Black leaders today are almost exclusively setting their attacks on "the system", rather than seeking to cultivate personal improvements.

It's interesting that you blame the "divide" on old conservatives, and think your own base is blameless. That is BS.

You guys have done nothing but screamed "racist, sexist, bigot, hater of the poor" for DECADES.

Somehow even a poor candidate like HRC won a plurality of the popular vote. You need to run those numbers again

Indeed.
I don't know that I'd consider Obama a "strongman", as you do.
But your observations about his Presidency are spot on otherwise.

Both sides have been insufferable for a long time. However, starting around Obama conservatives have shifted to a position of zero negotiation. Also, the primary reason I am a liberal is because when i see things i truly cannot live with being perpetuated by a political party it is usually the Republicans. Nomination of Trump for example (you werent too pleased either).

And i get the backlash and all that. But those issues we scream about have been systemic tangible issues for centuries.. Not decades.

About 26% of the registered voters tipped a ballot for the Democrat royal family. 26% voted for Trump

I watched the first weekend of the Olympics and decided to shut that shite down. When I saw all the play the homos were getting I quickly saw how this was going to go.

Because of the lack of “ethnic diversity” in the us olympic team the networks were going to do their best to depict the white male population as half homosexual.

My 6 year old son shouldn’t have to be dealing with this right now. In reality all I wanted to do was watch skiing, speed skating, and other events with him without having the lifestyle of 1% of the population shoved on me and my young kids.
