I’m anti-minimum wage increase...

But realize the hike of CEO pay of 105% the last 10 years is a major problem and makes it highly unreasonable for the bottom to see some kind of increase.
Literally the rich keep getting richer while people on the bottom are the “problem” when it comes to inflation. Something has to give. Last year alone CEO’s salaries saw a increase of 19% on average. That’s insane.
Edit: in the same time frame Fortune 500 companies only saw a 10.5% growth in that time frame while their CEO’s salaries saw an average of a 105% growth.

There’s always a but.
Why shouldn’t the CEO expect a raise for increasing profits?

The increase in salary for a CEO in the last YEAR was 19%.
That’s highly unbalanced.

Law of supply and demand.
How many people are qualified to be CEO? How many are qualified for entry level?

If profits go down, can we lower min wage?

Sure.
Should the other employees within the company fairly expect a 19% increase in salary as well just to keep it balanced? They played a part too as well. Am I right?

Your OP makes very little sense
CEO pay isn’t increased by govt directive.
Minimum wages are govt directives
You are comparing apples and oranges

I’m down.
Better than the profit margin getting smaller and CEO’s still making out with a massive raise.

Because they usually increase profits by cutting corners that shouldn't have been cut...and then get a big, fat severance package for being a failure on their way out the door.

I think minimum wage should be more regional. Money is not worth the same amount everywhere. Minimum wage, much like all other wages, should be tied, in part, to cost of living, and be done so regionally.

That’s highly unbalanced.
Further why is your opinion more valid than a BOD's opinion? And why don't the shareholders opinions matter since they are ones to set a BOD and approve of the CEO's and their compensation?
CEO compensation is a contractual agreement between multiple members of society at large. As are the wages of low end workers. Supply and Demand. Loads of low end toadies, not many Princes.

Look, my post is mostly directed to “inflation” talk for those on social media freaking out about a minimum wage increase.
I’m one of them. It shouldn’t be raised but I’m also one to look at these massive increases amongst those at the top and not think... maybe that’s part of our problem too.

That's because the large companies exist in a cronyistic economy, not a competitive capitalistic society.
Not being able to tell the difference is why the meatheads in Antifa are right to be angry, but wrong about who to be angry at.

Wages have risen over the last 4 years beyond those at the top? Do you believe economics is 0-sum? That’s the only reason, other than greed, that i can see why you would even care.

Last time I checked nobody was holding a gun to anyone's head forcing them to work at any particular company or for any particular CEO. Why do people always want to punish or limit other's success? What business is it of the general public's how much any employee is paid by any company?

I'm pro increase....to 100/hr that would be great money for cooking fries...at least until the 2nd month when wave after wave of grocery store price adjustments hit

Of course not.
Explain to me what you think a CEO does and why they should be valued in the same way a line level employee is.

How many of those CEOs used Chinese labor, lol?
These stats are almost worthless.
How was that study conducted? Fortune 500 only? Publicly traded companies only?
The "CEO" of the local bar is hurting right now because of the fricking shutdowns.

But CEOs can make profits by paying minimum wage and having low level employees on government benefit programs like food stamps and Medicaid. Should they be rewarded for doing that?
