c - therefore, give them licenses

Nowhere in the text of the Supremacy Clause does it require states to do the federal government’s job.

again, if an illegal citizen walks into a govt building or submits documentation to obtain a dl, they are to be reported to cbp IMMEDIATELY. in that sense, yes. they are to "do the" job of the federal govt. federal law trumps state law. i'm sorry you're having trouble understanding that.

I care more about their ability to carry insurance and heavy penalties for failure to carry it. You know a lot of them are going to drive uninsured. Dumb law all around.
