If Your Church Supports Homosexuality, It's Time to Change Churches

“A person may struggle with sinful attractions, but their sin is not their identity. No one has to self-identify as homosexual or practice such behavior. Some Protestant churches, where pastors self-identify as 'gay' and use 'gender-neutral' language, are losing all semblance of traditional Christianity.”

I hope my church always supports the sinner.
Who will speak up about down voting any church supporting the sinner?
Its the core of what we are as Christians and what Jesus taught.

Our pastor did about 5 mins last week about the horror of abortion and the destruction of the sanctity of marriage (referencing divorce and gay marriage).
I’m comfortable where we go on sundays. The wife is catholic and every story that comes out of the Vatican with the current pope and leadership drives her farther away.

I've actually given some thought to this.
I am basically a pre Vatican II Catholic. It looks like the Eastern Orthodox Church is still pretty close to that.

I'm more concerned about my church supporting leftist ideology. Unfortunately for right-leaning homosexuals, leftist ideology and homosexuality are perceived to be in lockstep with one another.

The stuff these salesmen talk about every week is amusing.

This is not the same as,

I hope my church always supports the sinner.

Church is not a monument to saints but a hospital for sinners.

If a church supports a sinner sinning then they’re not really a church who preaches the gospel.

you do not understand your own teaching.
You do not get to judge anyone.
Love all others. No throwing stones. we know you have sinned.

I’m an atheist.
You’re going to get sold something anywhere. I’d rather my kids get sold on love and forgiveness than social justice, thanks.

The Episcopal Church seems to attract Homosexuals in the City I reside.
I went to a buddies funeral there. His older sister and her partner attend there.
It's not my place to judge anyone.I'm a very tolerant,to each their own, person.
The Bible calls it an "Abomination".In other words,it sickens God.
So,there's that.

That doesn't have to be the case. I'd hope you're better at teaching your children values than a church or the television.

The saints are to use the gift of discernment to allow for corrective measures especially concerning the Church, believers in Christ Jesus. Believers are to make sure the World does not take over the Church and allow other believers to be led astray or better termed allow non Biblical teachings within the Church. Saying we are not to judge is off base when it comes to Biblical teaching and the care of the Church.
All of the believers are to remember who they are and born sinners. No one is without sin. No one. We should show love and mercy to all who come before us. That does not mean to bend the Church to the World but to prayerfully and in action show love and mercy to all.
