I know I did. You call yourself a programmer yet you're sitting in here bitching about specificity in language as if you don't understand the desire for it, ironically, in a field concerning computer science. This is about OMB for you just like everything else is.
I guess the entire industry caught the OMB syndrome decades in advance when they used these terms for the very specific reasons I have given you.
That makes much more sense than the notion that Trump doesn't know what the frick he's talking about.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, these terms have been in use for years, yes, but they are describing a state that is hypothetical and that we may never reach. The reality is that the current state has moved beyond artificial. So rebranding it is appropriate. For specificity sake. Could they have come up with something different? Maybe. I'm sure they thought about it. Trump is not trying to say we have developed ASI. And not only that, but if the nerds in silicon valley want to continue to call it AI, they're obviously free to do so (Trump's shite talking notwithstanding). But as for the federal government, they're going to start calling it Super Intelligence.
Don't like it? Tough shite.
It doesn't change the fact that the intelligence produced by the machine is not artificial.
Also, just to reiterate for you again. Trump is 100% correct when he says that the term artificial implies FAKE. And your TDS-hypervintilating-like-a-woman self tried to deny that and had to be shown how stupid you were with a thesaurus entry.

I look forward to the day when we get super super intelligence.
