If a covid test cost you 100 dollars out of pocket, would you buy it?

the question drives home the issue of what is done with the data. I think the answer is it contributes to the cdc data base, but has no other value. The patient receives no followup treatment plan unique to the delta variant, covid first edition, the flu, summertime colds or Sars.

the nation is about 70% covered by vaccine and first hand contagion.

As a stem guy, the only two published sets of data I find value in is the daily trends of deaths. And the daily trends of new cases.
The later is more subject to funny math but has the potential to tell stories through statistical analysis.

Never have I ever seen supporting data for lockdowns, masks, distancing etc.

It’s three days out to schedule a free test. If Trump was in office the left/msm would be apoplectic

Nope. I had covid and still didn't get tested. I started running a fever and suspected it was covid. I shut myself into the guest room and distanced from everyone. Treated the fever and wore a mask the few times that I was around people. Tested positive for antibodies last month.

This virus is way over tested. Tracking cases means nothing. Track deaths (vaccinated and unvaccinated), track cases requiring hospitalization, and ICU. Those are the only number that matter. Running to a clinic to get tested every time you catch a cold or have sinusitis is nothing but panic.

Like it or not, covid is part of life now. Just like the cold and the flu. Vaccinated or unvaccinated your body will have to fight this virus at some point.

In other nations you can buy the cheap rapid antigen tests and get the results at home.

They could have bought 10 for every household and still not spent a small fraction as the stimulus nonsense
