Well my daughter just got home and told us that they are closing the ICU/PCU wing for the most par, exception being a few rooms. I asked her if they were going to use her elsewhere in the hospital and she said she was not sure. Crazy that an ICU trained nurse could be temporarily out of a job at a time like this..

Not to be a dick. But, the regular flu is way, way more dangerous to small kids than Coronavirus.

Not to be a dick but the child could catch it, show zero symptoms while passing it to others who aren’t so lucky. I’m also working on positive pts daily. All of us working with these pts know the risk of catching it and or spreading it to our loved ones. I’m positive your daughter is taking every precaution humanly possible to keep herself and her family from getting the virus

I have an acquaintance who was self assuredly healthy as a horse, and looked the part, come down with COVID19. His other residence and company headquarters are in Florida (was normal, last time I saw him).

Hospitalized for ten days, lost twenty pounds, and now recovering at home.

All american type guy y'all would determine, upon seeing him.

Very weird.

There's more to this, than what we think.

Quit being dramatic.
He was worried about his grandkids.

This shits mortality will be 0.1 or 0.2% when all said and done. In line with regular flu.

And yet still 10x deadlier than the flu with twice the exponential growth.

The second youngest person to die from the virus here in Ark. fits this description but reading comments from her family she was healthy as a horse.

Then she debunks the "Mass Death" theory. "most people are fine"

Heard the exact same comment from an ER Nurse we know working in NOLA. She says the Media has dramatized CV-19 way, way beyond what’s necessary.

Common denominator is overweight, unhealthy people are really struggling with it.

Let me get this straight?
It's so dangerous because many are asymtomatic carriers. Many who have symptoms are minor.
Only those seriously ill are even tested.
The positive tests are used to calculate mortality rate.
And people think the mortality rate is even close to accurate?
Good God, did you fail 8th grade algebra?

Supposedly 0.1% of America/England/Canada is infected.
2 major movie stars in Tom Hanks and Idris Elba.
1 senator Rand Paul.
At least 2 if 435 house members.
10 of 120 NBA players.
Etc etc

You really think the #'s on infections are accurate?

The US infection rate is over 1%.

Iceland is doing random testing. 1% infected. 6 deaths. Population 330k if extrapolate to Louisiana thats around 90 deaths.

This is a serious virus.
But, it's a serious overreaction.
It's a flu with a condensed season.

Who downvotes a true submission? You're an idiot. I don't post things invented or simply to post. It's true.

53 years old, looked to be, and boasted of, great health. Scion of a major medical company (ironic, no?).

True, a-hole. Have no time for anecdotes.

-bottom tier Floriduh school BBA
-two years running major food chain
-investment in medical business
-partner pulls out, strains to match lost capital apportionment
-mezzanine funding handles his bright idea
-multi millionaire

Scion, no. It's true. Even better. I'm sure he got some parental funding to make it to the mezzanine funding stage.

Excellent, simply excellent. But what can you expect, Americans rank about 40th in the world in math.
