Evolution says otherwise.

Has zip to do with it, that's a pretty dumb comment.

Doesn’t Jesus clearly tell us that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is with them (Matthew18:20), and is that not Church, and if so, then could that not be held on any day of the week, even every day that we do so?

trust me, the current interpretation of evolution and history requires faith.

Evolution is real, but we fill in a shite load of details based on "faith."

Interpretation is reading the tea leaves, it too requires some faith.

"technically"? Seriously?

It's really quite clear.

Let me post it again:

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Here's a graphic aid for you:

(file that under "Legalism.")

So now you want to reduce God's Law down to just some kind of "legalism"? Be very careful.

Christians worship an idol they call Jesus, and not even on the Sabbath.

Are you sure you know what true "hate" and "wrath" actually are?

Let me help...

An example *might* be mentally unstable ideologues who go way out of their way to kill, maim, and destroy lives for merely disagreeing with their positions. In other words, PSYCHOPATHS and SOCIOPATHS (in positions of Power.)

Hmmm...now where do those kinds of people usually dwell and stand politically or even religiously?

Since it has been forgotten already...

To a progressive, Disagree = Hate.

They're pretty soft people.

Jesus of Nazareth isnt an idol. He was a real person acknowledged in several contemporary, non-Christian writings including the Quran.

Sweet. I'll take it up with my Creator. And while I'm at it, I'll ask forgiveness for telling you to GFY.

Was Jesus compelled to be "careful" when the Pharisees tried to "correct" Him for "defying" Sabbath law for healing men?

quote:

Luke 14:1-6

A Man with Dropsy Healed on the Sabbath

Now it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely. And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

But they kept silent. And He took him and healed him, and let him go.

Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” And they could not answer Him regarding these things.

this particular appeal to the religious is working great for you. Pretty soon, you will have convinced us all to be non-believers! Keep it up! But I need you to clear one thing up.

Roger, I'd like to ask you an honest question because I've found you always have good responses with me (besides maybe a time or 2 ).

What is faith to you? And do you think it was something you were born with or you developed?

I only ask bc I grew up a southern Baptist and from the time I can remember, it was always hard for me to bow my head and pray bc I didn't believe in what I was praying to.

I know those are fairly loaded questions. Lately, I've been on a deep journey of educating myself to anything and everything. Religion has been coming up a lot for me.

The irony of some random loser, who thinks our beliefs are nothing more than a fairy tale, scolding us for not practicing said fairy tale correctly, is the type of Grade-A stuff I've come to expect from Politard liberals.

I grew up in a cult, married and became southern baptist and then went to an independent church.

I didn't find faith in any. They talked faith but preached legalism.

Faith is something you as an individual develop and its based on things you feel, learn and experience. Its also unique to the individual.

I find faith to be a verb, not a noun. Spiritual things allow you to overcome temporary material and superficial things. Its not too complicated.

What's the bottom line gist of your claim of "Hateful"?

So you're saying you don't even understand what hatefulness is?

Do you not see hatefulness on this board constantly?
quote:

we are commanded to "Love Thy Neighbor"?

Didn't Jesus tell the Pharisees that the most important Laws are to love God and to love one another?

People on this board delight in non-repentant hatefulness. There's even one supposed Christian telling me to kill myself. How in the world is that in line with God's Law?

The people I've met who seem to have come the closest to living by that Law are the old ladies who come to my porch on the Sabbath to witness for Jehovah. They make self-described 'Christians' look like a bunch of Romans.

No, we're knowing you don't.
You misuse it as often as WTO/Globalist/RINO/Cuck gets overused on this board.
