I’m on day 5 of Covid, no vaccine here. Mostly in my head right now. It does suck though.

My mom is another story. She's about 4 days behind him and in pretty bad shape. Although they're still not sure Covid is real, their doctor has convinced them both to get the monoclonal antibodies treatment tomorrow.
Regardless of which side of this debate you're on, please keep them in your prayers.

I had it two weeks ago. Lost taste and smell with fatigue and tiredness for a week but didn’t miss a day of working construction in 94 degree heat. I figured everyone is going to get exposed to it eventually so might as well continue life as usual.

It’s a weird bug.
My dad is mid 60’s with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. He had the same mindset as your dad, caught it and licked it pretty quick without having to slow down much.
I think bad outcomes are just the luck of the draw with this thing. I’m convinced not a single soul on earth truly knows what the frick they are talking about when it comes to covid.

People who make themselves fight through the first couple of shitty days seem to do better, myself included. I stayed in the yard sweating and working. I got over it pretty quickly.
People who sit on their asses because they aren’t feeling well seem to be the ones hit hardest.
