It just isn’t enough for my fellow citizens to reach their hands into my pockets when I earn my money or own property. They have to get their ‘share’ when I use it too.

Either fund everything with a sales tax only or eliminate it all together.

I support elimination of income tax, to be replaced with national sales tax. It makes a ton more sense.

I buy from the AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service) website as much as I can. No taxes period.

Free shipping over $49, or something like that.

You have to qualify to use it though.

So you have to be a Vet to buy there?

Active, retired or purple heart recipient is what it used to be.

Some folks get limited benefits for a few years when they separate but don't fall under the other categories.

Tax consumption. It's far more fair.

You even get taxed for online memberships now for things like Netflix and Hulu.

Now for tax season you will get a letter from online retailers that dis not collect La. taxes at the time of purchase the amount you spent and the applicable sales tax you owe, along with a note they were required to send it to you and a copy to the state tax authority. This way you can settle up when you file your state taxes.

I got hit a couple years ago wheb this silliness started, a few thousand bucks worth of computer parts from NewEgg....
