I went 4-4 yesterday and voted the first day of early voting.

I actually don't even refer to them as RINO's. The term isn't strong enough to describe what they really are. They're really a bunch of corrupt, bought-and-paid-for crooks who have sold out to the system.

I think the people are finally waking up to the fact that they have been betrayed by these scumbags. Being an incumbent doesn't seem to carry the weight that it has up until now, and that's a very encouraging development.

Not really.

MAGA is not very conservative either. At all, really.

You could say that what Trump did was impose an effective loyalty test, but with a couple of exceptionsTrump's policies line up about like a Carter era Democrat, so I wouldn't use the word "conservative" in this context.

I am very glad that Republicans who would neither act nor (if they thought it was the wrong thing to do for some reason) speak out and lead in a different direction are being mass primaried, and I agree that it's long overdue.

I just wish the party had done it before abandoning conservatism in favor of populism.

Agreed.

Here's the only problem, though. Remember Animal Farm. The ones being elected now will do the same thing unless they are held to task as well. And the current bloodbath notwithstanding, populism is a very poor system of accountability.

I'll give you an example. I live in Alabama and Tommy Tuberville is likely to be our next governor. In the threads regarding him, I got downvoted into oblivion because I pointed out that he has been identified as exploiting insider trading for his own enrichment the same way Nancy Pelosi has. But populists didn't care, because he's "Trump endorsed."

Trump himself has massively stepped up to the feeding trough the second time around, and it's been obvious.

Populists don't care.

We'll find out whether populists really care about corruption and taking advantage of the American taxpayer or whether they just defend anything their "team" does.

I kind of think we already know the answer to that.

What an ignorant post. MAGA is conservative, they just approach things in a different manner.

We are extremely against the Trans movement. Thats conservative.

We are extremely proud usa. Meaning big jobs back here and be self reliant.

We are 100% all in favor of getting rid of income taxes and have tariffs. Something that was never considered liberal or evil prior to FDR who sold the nation on the idea of income taxes over tariffs.
