Maybe this is why the campaign called a lid on Joe till election day.
I just can't imagine the moral bankruptcy of anybody that would think of killing the VP and Presidential candidate's son to better their chances at winning. This is on a different level than what we've seen of the Clinton's.
Surely this doesn't happen. it would be very believable though if HB did OD. The media and police would not investigate it as a murder at all.
There would be some dummies that would give Joe a sympathy vote, it would also possibly encourage the media to do less coverage of the laptop and provide more cover for the media to ignore it. When the election could be decided by hundreds in some of these counties, this is plausible.
I doubt this happens though. Just my opinion.

If Hunter OD'd the media would be rushing to it to create sympathy for Joe. We're still over a week away from Election Day so there's no way they could ignore it this long.
It would not shock me if he really does OD though. He thought he understood what it was like to be the son of a well-known and well-connected politician but having that politician run for President is turning up the intensity of that pressure by magnitudes. Now increase it again with the constant barrage of news (at least from some sources) indicating YOU are a major stumbling block for the campaign of someone who has helped you so much through the years.
And if there's one thing that will trigger an addict into relapsing, it's increasing pressure sooooooo... yeah. I'll be more surprised if he DOESN'T bend under the pressure and relapse.
