Primarily tariffs. Will not create permanent jobs and leads to automation. Its welfare for woke corporations.

It puts workers out of work, creates inefficiencies, increases automation and taxes the American consumer, who pays for them. But profits will be high, yay!

Probably should stop attending the IB Freeman school of economic theory.

He’s certainly responsible for a decent portion of it. You can pretend he’s not.

Did he?

Yes he did

quote:

Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida on Wednesday said he didn't plan on running for president in 2024.

He said he was focused on making sure "people are not supporting critical race theory."

DeSantis also told the Fox News host Sean Hannity he would run for reelection in Florida.

I hope he does. But I think he may be so poisoned by his followers that he has ruined any shot at President.

Again, Trump:

-Got crushed in a General Election by a dementia patient
-Cost us control of the Senate twice
-Said Cuomo and Newsom handled Covid better than DeSantis
-Praised Charlie Crist repeatedly
-Cheered when Democrats held the Colorado Senate seat
-Said Stacey Abrams is better than Brian Kemp
-Attacked pro-life Republicans

And yet he is allowed to show his face in public, let alone run again. Why shouldn't DeSantis, or anyone else be allowed to run again? Is Trump the only one who should be able to run again?

You’re using some very specific language that I don’t think is warranted given what I recall of DeSantis addressing the question in 2021.

Again DeSantis cant figure out how to run an effective campaign against that.

The huge amount of printed money under Trump...doesn't matter to hacks. The huge spending bills signed under Trump never happened to hacks.

Yeah. That’s what I figured you were citing. What’s the direct quote?

It is precisely what he said. Shall I link it?

Yes, because the majority of GOP primary voters are mentally retarded and have a fetish for losing. We saw this in 2022 when they pissed away several winnable swing races by nominating awful candidates.

Kari Lake
Blake Masters
Mark Finchem
Abe Hamadeh
Herschel Walker
Doug Mastriano
Dr. Oz
Don Bolduc
Karoline Leavitt
Tudor Dixon
John Gibbs
Tim Michels
Jim Marchant
Joe Kent

These people haven't learned their lesson.

It’s linked above. Nowhere in that quote does he promise not to run.

Semantics and hyperbole are two different things. Semantics is meaning. Hyperbole isn’t.

This is what was said

quote:

"I'm not considering anything beyond doing my job. We got a lot of stuff going on in Florida. I'm going to be running for reelection next year," DeSantis said in reply to Hannity's question on whether he was considering a presidential run.

808's argument is Ron didn't say flat-out say no. Just avoided the question instead.

Correct. He didn’t promise not to run. Semantics. Meaning.
