I posted this on the poli board but I am assuming no one there had any first hand experience so I thought I would bring it to the OT. After 8 months of Milei I wonder how it is going. Articles seem somewhat positive but also lots of mixed reviews. Anyone have any knowledge from locals how it is going?

My Spanish tutor lives in Argentina. She's overall happy with Milei, and probably the biggest success is that before Milei, and at the start of his presidency, prices would increase daily everywhere (especially at the grocery store). They are at the point now where price increases have slowed to monthly.

You think Milei is going to get any positive coverage from the international media?

Heavily trending in the right direction, as far as we can tell. The most reliable indicator I’ve seen is that every time someone on r/politics talks shite about him, someone who lives in Argentina shows up to skullfrick them about their having no idea what they’re talking about. The country has an incredibly deep hole to get itself out of, but it’s further along in doing so than anyone expected.

They just had a big upset win 38-30 over New Zealand in Rugby. Rematch is this Saturday in Auckland at Eden Park where the All Blacks have not lost in thirty years. Would be really something if Los Pumas were able to pull off back to back upset wins.

Must be doing well if you aren't hearing about them.
