How far off the rails have the Democratic Socialists gone?

It wasn't 30 years ago when nearly every Democrat was staunchly against mass illegal immigration, and many Democrats didn't particularly like a lot of legal immigration and green cards because it was putting downward pressure on blue collar wages.

Fast forward to 2026, the Democrat Party has morphed into the Democratic Socialist party and they are willing to die if it means thwarting ICE efforts to remove criminal illegal aliens.

Something has changed since the early 1990's and a once semi rational political party has become the unashamed and brash enemies from within.
