…….i sleep peacefully because God answered my prayers and President Trump is alive. I sleep peacefully because now America will learn the degree to which these depraved arrogant and Godless people will go to destroy their political opponents. I sleep well because my life belongs to God and Jesus Christ is My Lord and Savior. I sleep well tonight because as I drift off to sleep this thought (be at peace this too shall pass) pushes every angry and negative thought out of my mind. We choose the direction of our life - long ago I choose the road that leads to God. I am at peace. I woke up as I usually do to do my business in the bathroom. Life goes on. Good night my fellow Americans. Pray for those victims especially the dead. Let us care for their need right now……provide the resources to give them a suitable burial and care for their families.

I think I got about 2 to 3 hours of sleep.

This is tough. I was in grade school when Hinkley shot Regan. It didn’t hit me like this one has. Hinkley was just bat shite crazy. The vitriol was no where near the level it is today.

I have lost faith in federal law enforcement. The same FBI that helped Jack Smith fabricate evidence and sniffed Melanias panties can’t be trusted to handle the investigation. Secret Service is no longer part of the Treasury Dept. They report to Mayorkas.

I worry about a copy cats. I worry about retaliation.

This is insanity and 1/2 the country is still fanning the flames with:

Literally Hitler
Existential Threat
Dictator on day 1
Fine People hoax
Bloodbath hoax
PUTIN puppet
WW3
Will sell nuclear codes
Racist
Homophobic
Transphobic
Islamophobia
Mysogony
Grabbed by the pussy
Threat to muh democracy

It’s very difficult to reconcile all of this.

I've lived through JFK, RFK, MLK (though I was very young), George Wallace, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, Steve Scalise, W. Bush and now Trump. It's surreal to hear the left media bemoaning the political rhetoric without acknowledging they themselves set the scene for yesterday.

I was an infant for MLK. My father was in Viet Nam. My mother and I were living at my grandparents on Hwy 61 in Memphis.

Hwy 61 becomes 3rd Streer in Downtown Memphis. The Lorraine Motel is on 3rd. Technically I was on the same street as MLK at the time of the shooting. But I obviously don’t remember. But I’ve heard the story how nervous and vigilant my family was for a week or so.
