This Voting Rights Legislation proposed by the democrats is unconstitutional. But then since when do the democrats care about the U.S.Constitution? They constantly refer to the USA as a democracy. We are NOT a democracy we are Constitutional Republic with elected Representatives and Senators representing us in the House and the Senate.

Having said that, we need to go back to the practice of the individual state legislatures electing Senators to Congress.

I would love to see the election of U S Senators return to the individual State House of Representatives.

Absolutely. The 17th Amendment is terrible and allowed this slide into federal domination over the states in all issues. Popular election of the Senate defeats the entire purpose in having two houses.

the "Progressive Era" amendments are the fricking worst

16th - income tax
17th - direct election of senators
18th - Prohibition
19th - vote to women

99.9% of the problems of this country are because of these

I read something today that said Schumer can bring it several times fail and change the rules without a vote.

How does Schumer change Senate rules without a Senate vote?

So they are specifically targeting reps and senators only? Because this is being portrayed as the entire federal election process.

I'm just saying that on the surface the bill isn't necessarily unconstitutional. I also don't trust the Supreme Court to say that it would be unconstitutional since it includes all elections - do you?

So nothing relating to state POTUS elections is in the bill?

Because if it is, the bill is facially unconstitutional.
