Why did they want to kill the pagans? Seems pretty fricked up to me.

In that particular surah, it was retribution for having been attacked and persecuted by those very same pagans.

Hardly "enlightened" by our standards, but not remotely a command to go out and kill all non-Muslims.

Keep on islama-splaining and white-knighting for these savages, Hank.

BTW, any new advice for T-Bird on how to be authentically black?

You anecdotally having some friend who claims to be muslim and isn't actively murdering babies in their cribs doesn't erase truth.

muslims are compelled by their unholy writings to kill non-believers.

Stop making a fool of yourself.

My belief is that every Muslim is not expected to actually shed blood. But they are to participate in jihad by providing money to support the trigger pullers.

Couple quotations from the Koran:

“ Have faith in Allah and his apostle and fight for his cause with your wealth and your person”.

“Proclaim a woeful punishment to those that hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s cause”.

That makes them very much complicit.
I avoid shopping at stores owned by Muslims as I fear they are sending money to the terrorists.
There is a store close to me owned by a Palestinian. He claims he left Israel to escape the violence but suspicious me,I am skeptical.
I never buy anything there.
I can’t figure out how a Palestinian from Israel leaves there and gets the money to buy a store in Grant parish.

Likewise,I am suspicious of Muslim doctors.

Their is no moral difference between the muslim that beheads someone or his brother who holds the infidels' feet.

This Hamas attack is vile and horrific, it is however not unprecedented in the history of Islamic vs. Jewish people.

The trees and the rocks will cry out, “come! There is a Jew behind me. Coke and kill him”

I wish there was a paraphrase symbol instead of quotes, because I know that’s not Word for Word quoted, but it is 100% in the Quran.

That is a hadith, recorded by Al-Bukhari about two centuries after Muhammad's death.
quote:

You (i.e. Muslims) will fight against the Jews and you will gain victory over them. The stones will (betray them) saying: ‘O ‘Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.

Do the majority of muslims considerate legitimate scripture to base their lives on?

Are enough of them adhering to it to make them a major threat to world peace?

You sure are spending an awful lot of time defending a man who buggers children.

Why don't you have the balls to address the fact he took a child to his bed chamber?

In short form, an early Islamic scholar (arguably the greatest Sunni scholar). He was born in the area that is now Uzbekistan and (among other things) collected the oral traditions associated with Islam and recorded them (in the sense of writing them down).

You are quite competent at cutting and pasting, but apparently the creator forgot to instill you with the ability to truly reason things as well as cursing you with a complete lack of empathy or discerneble soul.

You are white-knighting for a "holy" prophet who was a child molester.

Do some introspection and reason why you would spend so much energy admiring a child molester.

I blame Sarah. She sent Hagar to Abraham's tent because she was not able to have a child. Out of that comes Ismael (of the flesh or sin). Somehow Sarah becomes pregnant and the result is Isaac(of the promise). Later on, Sarah insists that Hagar and Ismael must leave. They were sent into the wilderness. Some few hundred years later, Muhammad somehow comes out of that lineage. Had Sarah allowed them to stay, there might not be a militant "religion" born out of the Koran.

So his teachings are revered? If so how does that not support the OP?

It does support the OP.

Remember, you're dealing with Hank.

He will lie, deflect and obfuscate to make some sort of non-sensical "point".

islams' holy prophet bedded a 12 year old girl and you're expecting "Antoninus" to pass up an opportunity to white-knight and islama-splain away?

Tsk, tsk....
