re: Hey liberals, progs, and cucks. Trump didn't have to lie to the public to get this deal

I really don’t understand why people on the left are bent out of shape AND people on the right are so enthralled. The meeting itself was unprecedented but the results are about as neutral as you can get. It’s a vague agreement. We really have no idea how this will shake out. I don’t understand the strong opinions one way or the other.
It’s difficult to even discuss because we have no concrete information to rely upon

you wanted to know how it wasn't impressive as previous presidents had not done this before.
If you don't realize it's impressive then I can't help you. Is NK as powerful and scary as Obama, Bush, and Clinton all said, or are they simply a puppet regime supported by someone else? Dunno, but a guy whose been a politician for 18 months just walked up in there and called a whole bunch of bluffs. The fear was NK would fire if a nuke into Seoul resulting in mass casualties. Well, that didn't happen:

You can argue this is the very first step in relationship, with an attempt to develop a real deal down the road, but arguing we got something concrete out of this first meeting is just blind bias towards trump.
The thing is is that it could fall apart once N Korea gets what they want and those here will say mission accomplished. Trump is doing awesome but his fans are almost as insufferable as the ones who thought Obama could do no wrong. They are basically the same people.

It just shows how tribal we have become. Let’s simply replace Trump with Obama in this situation, the people on the left will be enthralled and people on the right would be bent out of shape.
Truth is as u said, we don’t have enough info to really make an informed opinion. Plus past presidents, although did not meet NK leaders, have had similar agreements with NK only to have NK back out in the end.

All of this. In fact you could take the Iran deal and call it the DPRK deal and show it to Trump supporters and they would defend it to the day they died. It's just where we are now. And the left is no better.
