Or they have lost faith in a process that is clearly corrupt. How much of a say do you have in the field of candidates that have a clear path to any significant office of representation for you? How do those candidates get their head above water and by whose influence and wealth do they make it onto your ballot? Why is this country - regardless of the party in power - forever trending to higher debt, more government power and control, more replacement of citizens with cheap foreign labor, more corporate monopoly and non-stop war? The rise of socialism isn't strictly due to "Obama and Biden" or "stupid people", it's the same sort of desperation that put Trump into the White House the first time around. People are looking for something that can interrupt or break a clearly crooked system and socialism will make them the same promise Trump's populist platform did. Just like with Trump, it will ultimately prove to be a lie, but for some... a lie provides more hope than a clearly corrupt reality.

These people are old. Furthermore the bulk of the domestic agenda they championed are abortions, unions and socialized medicine.

The people left to pick up the torch are full blown communists.

Being a little bit Marxist is like being a little bit pregnant. The Democrats have reached their due dates. All of this is just the natural progression of Karl. Leftists believe that the guardrails on the government is “democracy.” People who are not believe the guardrails are individual rights over the mob.

Our individual rights are within the divine order of things. What we see happening with the Democrat party is the same thing that happened in the Republican Party where their Big Government intelligence apparatus ate them alive. It’s ignoring that basic, Natural Law, for 150 Years.
