The issue isn't the legality of the strikes. The issue is releasing video of the second strike on 9/2/25.
Hegseth said we can't do that because it's against our policy. To an objective person, that doesn't make any sense, because release of ALL the other boat strike videos would be violative of the same policy.
Also, Hegseth's boss, the Commander-in-Chief, said he would have no problem releasing the video of the second strike. Was Trump wrong about our policy stopping release of the video?

I'm not even being critical of the execution of drug runners. I had just hoped in Trump 2.0 we would have less bullshite.
Obviously, there's no policy preventing release of the video of the 2nd strike. Hegseth could have been honest: "I only do what is best for the men and women of the Department of War. The second strike was legal according to all the experts we consulted. Release of the video, however, could strengthen our adversaries. Therefore, I am not releasing it."
