Some of them, more importantly the winner, had no political power and are trying to make their beloved country go in the right direction.

Here we have people who have been in power that want to continue in the same direction.

It just goes to represent that the Democrat Party is led by a bunch of political hacks rather than leaders from Governorships and such.

Since 1900, only three presidents were elected straight from the Senate. One of those 3 was Obama.

Senator is not a normal route to the Presidency.

Sherrod brown would make Ohio a hell of a lot more difficult than it needs to be. He scares me on that front already being the senator there.

Trump did lose Ohio to kasich in the primaries and was fortunate enough to run against Hillary for the general.

Hopefully democrats are too batshit crazy to nominate Brown.

Sherrod Brown probably would have thrived in the 1980s/1990s. Today, no way, as far as getting the nomination. But for regular folks, he’s very likable, especially with the blue collar Reagan Democrats.

Anyone else think some of these are just doing it for money with no intention of actually winning? Look at all the money that was donated to the Beto campaign. Sure there are rules with what you can do with the money, but fees for speaking engagements, interviews, etc.

Too bad you don't have to vacate your seat to run, I believe there would be less interest if that were the case.
