Ive many friends and family living in repubilcan strongholds of Ardoyne, West Belfast, Divis, and amongst them it is pretty well accepted that ANY border installayion is a violation of of Good Friday Agreement, and will be attacked immediately. Maybe the Provos aren't gone, after all...

i love my homeland, i find its situation fascinating, and i want people to know how delicate it is with Brexit. It can very possibly lead to deaths.

Well, I think its up to the Irish to figure that out.

Perhaps when they were attracting all the US companies to set up false front corp hdqtrs for avoidance of EU/US taxes they should have figured out all those bucks would cause a lot of issues.

Now they have to make a decision. My Grandfather is Irish, he left for a reason, sick of the shat. Become the next Palestinian camp and let the EU fund it. Or learn to live in the real world, the world does not care about whether a backstop is there or not, the Irish should have figured that out long ago.

If you truly believe in Irish independence, there is no way you should support the monstrosity that is the European Union.

From what I've read, it is a well thought-out plan. They leave EU, but have to rope off the shitlords of Northern Ireland to prevent smuggling and tariff avoidance. The IRA's response is terrorism.

we did, in 1998. We agreed to eliminate the border., allowing people to forget past divisions. And now again the UK is making.choices that puts my country in danger. But yes! Its the Irish fault. We should figure it out. Unfortunately, if the border returns, we willtry, the same way we tried from 1796-1998.

Why would it cause an issue? Ireland decided it doesn't want to be Catholic anymore. Is there still a point to the distinction?

so simply shitcanning the central tenent of a peace plan that took 30 years to reach is a well thought out plan? dont let your hate of the EU blind you. The EU is shite, but this plan is no better. It goes against an important intenational peace treaty, and nearly guarantees violence.

God bless the Irish people. What an amazing people and culture. I can’t wait to get back there. That said bro, you have to do other topics or you are going to be despised on this board.

Has the IRA considered hacking all of the UK public address systems and blaring "Rattle and Hum" until the opposition knifes themselves to death?

Why should the UK care what the Irish think of their decision to leave the EU? If the Irish wanted to leave and the Brits opposed it based on the border issues between the ROI and the UK, would you care or would it be another example of British imperialism?

I am pretty sure that most people from mainland UK would love to jettison the shithole that is Northern Ireland

I love Ireland as well as the Irish people however, Irish republicanism is another matter altogether.

I have a hard time siding with a group that openly aided Hitler during World War II.
