Where were you standing up for the MAGA Hat dudes who were turned away?

It happened many times, I dont recall you defending them.

You keep saying this but it’s just incorrect. ANTIFA are recognized terrorists. They commit vicious acts of terror. They are a criminal enterprise.

I understand that Emerson would have a repulsive disdain for steadfast adherence to a code even after the basis of facts to support that code have been proven wrong several times.

It comes down to "Does the licensee have the right to refuse transfers to people he considers mentally ill."

quote:

A gun shop owner in Florence, Oregon, turned away a customer who was looking to buy a gun when the customer handed over his business card that showed he was affiliated with the violent, extreme, left-wing organization antifa.

quote:

The left-wing customer said he tried to explain away his support for antifa by saying, “I explained to him it’s more like a movement.”

Antifa has been linked to hundreds domestic attacks, riots, and millions in property damage, not to mention repeated threats of terroristic attacks on their political opponents.

Its my guess lefties crying in this thread would not be upset if an FFL refused transfer to a KKK member or Arian Nations type.

Its also my guess that lefties don't understand he can have that firearm sent to another shop with an FFL and get it transferred.

Yep.

Lefties scream about mental illness and firearms, yet cry that this he/she with a violent anti government group ties gets rejected at one FFL.

They actually have an obligation to refuse the transfer if they believe there have been false answers provided on the form or if there is anything else that would make them liable for transferring the firearm to someone that could possibly be prohibited from possessing it.....

No.

We've all been pretty consistent: Mentally ill Democrat terrorists shouldn't own guns.

Other than location and their specific targets, are there fundamental differences between Hamas, BLM and Antifa?

Should FFL operators be required to transfer a firearm to someone displaying outward signs of mental illness?

This board has been quite consistent in its views.

This is no different than the case of the Colorado baker. Businesses have the right to accept or refuse business as they see fit. Nobody’s denying this guy his right to buy a gun. He’s free to have it transferred thru another FFL holder.

If they understood the laws, they wouldn't be melting.

I would most likely transfer to anyone passing the federal background check, but I do understand trying to keep firearms from violent extremist groups.

Yup. And the right wing “shall not be infringed “ absolutists here also don’t realize this is how commies continue to erode the 2A. What do they think the public outcry will be when it’s consistently established that terrorists can legally buy guns?

The FFL holder has a right to protect himself from any liability that might arise from knowingly selling a weapon to a member of one of these groups. Especially if the red flags are all there.
