What’s funny is that was probably when was in highschool in the early 2000’s and everytime they would pan over to the cheerleaders, it was on him first. This agenda isn’t new unfortunately. They took sane peoples understanding and sympathy and weaponized it and used it against us.

Precisely. We allowed it too, with little or no resistance. Thankfully there's some pushback against the insanity at this point in time. We still need to push back harder and have a long way to go.
Football used to be that one thing where everyone could just put politics, race, class, religion and philosophical differences aside and just come together as fans and even as rivals and just let the world fall away and live in the moment for a few hours. The wokesters couldn't allow that, and had to inject their divisiveness into it.
Some people can still just enjoy the game and ignore the agenda, and I'm happy for them. I'm just not one of them. I saw the team I gave 30 years of my life pouring my fandom and money into, suddenly embracing a political and societal paradigm contrary to my deeply held personal beliefs, and was no longer able to tolerate it. They walked away from me, so I'm done. I fish a lot more now.
