Will the Govt shut down play a roll in people getting their tax refunds in/on time.
I am all for the shut down...but I can see Democrats using this big time will middle America, and having success doing it, if it plays a roll. I don't think the average American gives a shite right now about the shut down....but if it plays apart in tax refunds, I think that will change.

If you are smart, you don’t lend the government money without receiving interest. Your goal should be to break even on your taxes annually. You don’t get back, but you don’t owe either.

Won't disagree....but that is not most of America. Most Americans will spend that money, so they look at it as an annual savings account. On one hand that is stupid for reasons you just stated...on the other hand, if you know you are piss poor at managing money, it's probably a good idea for you. Sadly, most people are piss poor at managing money.

They will process your tax return, but refunds would be delayed.

How does a partial government shutdown affect you sending in your tax return to the IRS?? The US Post Office is still operating.

This is my point.....I think the Dem's and the media will pounce on this big time unfortunately. And the middle class will eat it up.

I believe the more pressing question is will the shut-down play a role in people / States getting USDA funds for EBT and SNAP.

Alabama runs out of money in about three weeks.

Hahaha.... Boy friend???... I am not melting. If you don't think this is a political winner for Dems and the media, you live in a bubble. Watch and see. And btw, I am not a fan of it dumbass. I am just telling you it will be an issue.
And I don't think I am getting back but $300 or so. I will survive!

I take it you are one of those people who have their refund spent before they get it.

Let me guess , fancy rims for the old car or a 80 inch TV ?

If I don’t get my tax return back, I’ll quit paying for 2019.

Yes I understand the interest free loan component, but I don’t like paying a big chunk to the govt in April, and realistically don’t pull the 100 out of every pay check to put in savings. It would go to dumb shite like a night buying drinks after work vs a trip that I end up using it for.

I think he means IRS processing refund checks.

Also, while we're thinking about it, it's one thing for poop to pile up in national parks, but if TSA workers start walking off in significant numbers we won't be long from a resolution.

Or high income earners that get SS overwithheld when they switch jobs, but those people aren’t necessarily hurting for that refund.
