This is yet another example of the recurring motif that IS JJDoc.
1. read an article written by someone with little grasp of the subject matter.
2. interpret that article in the most-extreme manner possible.
3. start a thread which exaggerates even THAT interpretation.
4. rinse and repeat.
I do wish he did not call himself “Doc.” He clearly lacks the intelligence and/or education to be a “doctor” of any stripe.

Poster is an idiot. And so is Whitmer

I found and read the ACTUAL decree. It does NOT ban the sale of seeds. It does NOT ban the sale of flags.
Go to Michigan and try to buy some.
Do you really think they are going to put out a full list of the thousands of products you cannot buy?

Once again, you are wrong. Everyone of those articles clearly state that it is only in effect for mega stores(50,000 sq ft +). Fake news frick.
Can you purchase seeds or not in those stores?

Exactly.

Not lying, per se, just.... stretching the hell out of the truth.
You can't buy seeds... in some stores.
But... I think we can all agree that that in and of itself is dumb. If you go to Wal Mart or Home Depot or whatever, you ought to be able to buy whatever is in the store. You are already there.

I agree for sure, Whitmer is an idiot.

So... the co-ops, the local farm supply stores and what not?
What are farmers supposed to do? Surely they can still farm, right?

quote:Where is that line between lying and “stretching the truth?” He says that Whitmer “banned” the sale of two products. She did NOT. Yes, her decree made it more difficult to find and purchase those items. The thread could easily have been phrased that way and was not, so it was clearly 100% inaccurate.quote:Not lying, per se, just.... stretching the hell out of the truth.

The only question is whether this recurring motif is intentional. I tend to think that it IS, because it would be difficult for a bumbling buffoon to be this consistent.

I overcommitted.
Farm supply stores are open.
Greenhouses are not. “Hobby garden” stores aren’t.

They'll sell you bags of seed for field corn and such.
Tomatos for your garden? Not so much.
