This shite scares me. I get young people are frustrated and many voted for Trump and have been let down and are looking for any type of answer, but socialism or communism isn’t it. Capitalism isn’t the issue, true capitalism is the best system out there. A system that rewards merit and innovation and hard work and provides equal opportunities to all, but doesn’t guarantee equal outcomes. Currently we have corporatism and a semi capitalist economy. Over decades immoral men have been molesting capitalism for their own gain, largely by purchasing influence of immoral politicians after capitalism got them to the top. They pushed for regulations and red tape that start up competition cannot afford to comply with and monopolized their industry and their power grew. Then foreign businessmen did the same, and this led to policy that flooded the US with cheap imports, allowed IP theft, and outsourced manufacturing. All in the guise of free trade and capitalism, pitched as policy to help the middle class consumer. Then when the large and still politically powerful white middle class realized the ruse, and had the voting power to reverse the trend, these immoral men pushed for unrestricted immigration in the name of cheap labor and profits but with the real agenda pf diluting the white middle class enemy’s political power over time. Because this is the only demographic threat to their power structure, the only ones smart enough to see through the lies and that remember how it used to be. How America was supposed to work. We do not currently have capitalism on a macro scale. It exists on a small scale especially in small rural towns with mom and pop stores and restaurants and such, but not on a big industry scale. Not manufacturing, not tech, not medical or Pharma. Agriculture is quickly trending the same direction. One of the things I love about the catfish industry is this is not the case. All farms, feed mills, and processors are family owned. No multinational corporations and we are fighting to keep it alive constantly against the seafood importers but as our industry shrinks our political influence wanes.

But socialism only brings misery. The answer is to get all regular people of all stripes to realize the lies and manipulation and to fight back. Vote to upend this corporatist system. Get rid of corrupt politicians. Deregulate industry and eliminate foreign influence
