$3.89 at Costco here. It’s down some
$5.99 in SoCal Thursday. That is about what I’ve been paying there for a month.

Full disclosure, it was Sam's Club, which is usually a little cheaper than the regular gas stations.

Holy crap.
That’s a huge spread. Maybe SoCal has extra taxes on gas. I’m not paying for it so I don’t bother to look.

I was in Anaheim Monday and it was around 6 bucks. Don’t know why such a wide difference.

AI didn’t provide a good answer. (You know who, yes, I use AI like most folks today)
I was expecting to learn that LA specifically has higher taxes and they do but it’s not enough to account for that wild spread. Weird.
I stay in Anaheim most trips to the LA area. The car I drive for work requires being prudent about where I stay and I’ve found a couple of places that arent so worrisome.
If you like craft beer, I’ve found a good Anaheim brewery. Be happy to share if that is of interest.
