We also have/had a massively larger population. Trudeau’s point is silly, but there is nothing to belittle about Canada’s performance in the World Wars and since. They have given far more than their fair share. Of course Britain owes them a far larger debt for that than we do.

They entered the war almost 3 years before us, to help Britain, not us. WWI, they entered to help Britain from the jump. We entered both wars after they did to help the cause they supported first. Trudeau acts like they came to our rescue. In the pacific they largely fought on Britain’s behalf in China. Thanks for the help, but don’t get all sentimental as though you joined with us and for us.

They could run to the media and tell them how TRUMP is picking on them.

If Canada doesn’t want tariffs, perhaps they’d be keener on agreeing to our changes in NAFTA to help protect not just American workers, BUT CANADIAN AND MEXICAN WORKERS AS WELL.

We will drag our border buddies into stronger, more producer centric nationalistic economics whether they like it or not, by god.

Got Dam Prime Minister Zoolander - we need to send that child to daycare till we can vote him out.

Don’t go full on Union and Civil Service my southern brethren - you’ll end up with a Drama Teacher / Snowboard instructor trying to negotiate the geopolitical spectrum on your behalf.

I’d just like to say that my great uncle, and grandad both served as did a few dozen other old boys (through both wars) in my town of 600 people (and far fewer back then). I’m sure they didn’t do it for the purpose of Mr. Trudeau’s tweet but the sacrifice was indeed real.

Canadians spend little to nothing on their military because they hide behind our shield. If there was another world war they would have very little to offer in support. We should charge them rent to hide behind our shield. If they dont like it, we will annex their resources to pay for it.

Socialist politics have made that country weak and they are slowly decomposing from it. I hope this hurts their economy bad, they deserve it. Maybe it will be a wake up call.

I know they are killing your plants there. We do some work with them and they are struggling. Its also a pain in the arse since every province has separate "licensing" which means more fees and headaches. Was glad to see the pipelines put pressure on Vancouver though. That city can get fricked.

Till frickstick Justina decided our federal government should buy the pipeline project - then spend tax payer dollars to “complete” it establishing a public corporation who will “sell it” in the future.

So now a privately owned pipeline that was bringing U.S. investment into our oil sands (and conventional) reserves is owned by the tax payers and being ran out of Ottawa 2000 miles away. I think I’m actually living in California.
