Not sure what ‘reeking of desperation’ has to do with any of it. Who cares? The perception matters naught. Winning the war of stacking the court is EVERYTHING.

Because Lindsey Graham’s job is to ensure a positive trajectory for his party. He recognizes that if Kav has any dirt it WILL be exposed but he cannot stop it at this point. His job is to maintain and grow an R majority. Kav is not strong enough for him to invest in at this point. He just wants to put the right kind of people in office.

That will just give the dims even more reason for delays, to do their due diligence in evaluating the quality of the nominee (or as it's known to the rest of the world, Soros-funded opposition research and false witness fabrication).
Amy is next. Kav earned this with the strength he has displayed through this unfounded and vicious assault the Dims are putting him through. I would be absolutely disgusted with the GOP top to bottom if they turned their back on Kav now, after all he has been through. He will not quit, like the Dims want him to. Why should the R's quit on him?
