Former Dem Congressman Sentenced for Election Fraud

“Former Abscam Congressman ‘Ozzie’ Myers is headed back to federal prison for election fraud. The former politician was sentenced to 2 1/2 years behind bars after pleading guilty to bribing election workers to stuff ballot boxes in local elections, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported recently, adding:
“The last time former U.S. Rep. Michael “Ozzie” Myers stood before a federal judge to face sentencing in a bribery case, Ronald Reagan was president, and Abscam — the 1970s scandal that sent Myers and a host of other elected officials to prison — dominated newspaper headlines.
But as the now 79-year-old found himself facing a similar predicament Tuesday — this time awaiting punishment for a separate bribery scheme involving ballot-stuffing in local elections.
A former Democratic Pennsylvania congressman received a 30-month prison sentence after committing fraud favoring Democratic candidates, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania’s U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
He pled guilty to illegally conspiring to vote in a federal election and depriving civil rights, falsifying voting records, bribery, obstruction of justice, and orchestrating ballot-stuffing schemes in Pennsylvania’s 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 elections, the office said. He was a U.S. House member from 1976 to 1980 before being expelled for bribery and sent to prison for three years after the FBI exposed him.
The busted Democrat, who has worked as a Democratic campaign consultant since his release from federal prison in the 1980s — pleaded guilty earlier this year to election fraud charges, admitting he’d persuaded two South Philadelphia elections officials to add fake votes to candidates who’d hired him for their races from 2014 to 2016

This is clearly a case of wrongful conviction. It’s impossible to commit this kind of vote fraud.

He got caught. 99% of the time you try and stuff boxes you will caught. Every time we hear of one we know that process worked. How you would cheat is by changing votes.
The process works because polling places count every single person that comes in the door even if they don’t vote.
My grandma worked at a polling place for a few decades. One year her job was to count even if they didn’t vote. The amount of people that walked in was always higher than the number of ballots.
Examples
Teachers dropping off students (I was dropped off by my principal)
Adult children dropping off a parent
Dropping off a spouse after they had already voted
How the count works is when someone walks into the building they are counted, but they can’t go in the room where they get the ballot and vote.

He didn’t get caught 99% of the time. And do you think he just dreamed up this scenario later in life? Or was it part of his own political career earlier?

The way he would cheat is weird, because most of the time he would instruct the election judge to pad the election by giving his candidate’s opponent more votes so it looked closer than it really was.
1. His clients didn’t know, because they were going to win anyway.
2. 1st time 40 years ago he tried 7 members of congress went to prison
3rd. He was caught again when he tried to get away with it. They were investigating, but it was hard to find out how and who was doing it, because it didn’t change the outcome.

This is a opinion article and it say’s that on the 3rd line, so some of the facts are exaggerated.

I'm beginning to think Pennsylvania may be the most screwed-up state in the union. I'll allow their senate race in November to tip the scale one way or the other.
