For those giddy that a crashing stock market and economy will hurt Trump

Have you considered that all the hysteria being generated by the left and the media is so over the top, that the resulting damage might be so severe that even if it causes Trump to lose the election, the Democrat president inheriting the mess might be stuck with problems that can’t be fixed during his entire term?
Be careful what you wish for.
( And that goes without saying that anyone hoping the economy crashes for political gain is insane anyway)

The leftist response will be to push the country into even more socialism.

Do you think they give a shite, honestly?

Why would they care about that?
Remember, a crappy economy under Obama was "the new normal".
Trump made Obama eat his words with the "magic wand" comment.
The left wants to see all of that undone. In their world, Obama's normal failure was perfectly fine, and if we go back to that, then we are OK.
Just wait until they get all of their third world voters IDs and then really turn the tide.
They won't be happy until it is all completely destroyed. That is the goal.

It would only hurt TRUMP if people were blaming TRUMP but they aren't the are blaming Coronavirus.

Question Rev. (and Foo)
We know that one of the problems with the Roman Empire (and which caused its downfall) was overemphasis on "bread and circuses".
Now we have runs on the store for bread (and toilet paper) and all our circuses (sports, theater, even Cirque du Soleil) are closed.
You think God may be taking away our comforts in order to have us return to Him?

It's not going to hurt Trump. This is not something with long term effects like a housing crisis or dot com bubble. It's a fear fueled sell off.
On top of that, voters have seen the difference in an Obama recovery and a Trump recovery. They're not gonna be voting for another Obama recovery.

I won’t pretend to know the will of God in this particular matter but to say, he is way more concerned with our eternal and spiritual situation than he is about earthly things.

It does all fit into your typical (D) playbook. They will point to the government forced closures and pay instability as the reason we need Universal Basic Income and Single Payer.
Generate a problem to solve with more gov.

If it were only the stock market drops, I’d agree, but many companies will lose revenue and workers might lose jobs they won’t get back. This would have long term implications.

I agree that is the most important. That's why I'm wondering if He isn't pulling away all our earthly things to have us focus on the eternal.
Of course some will refuse to repent (the seventh bowl judgment in Revelation -- which almost appears to resemble Earth being hit by a comet -- will still result in men cursing Him) but maybe others will do so.

Its a big story and the media is running with stuff for ratings. It doesn't matter who the President is. The same shite went on during Obama's term with Hurricane Sandy.

This isn't some Democratic ploy to destroy Trump. It is the ratings hungry media doing what they have always done.
