The way to get libs to be anti-abortion is to make abortion mandatory for poor unwed women whose babies will statistically grow up to be a net drainer on society. They will see that as classist and racist and vehemently oppose it.
I am more of mindset that we insert a birth control device in poor or the criminal after they have one child. They can have the device removed when they become a net contributor to society. Otherwise the criminal population should be halved in every generation.

Male lions will kill all of the young cubs if they take over a pride. It makes the females come into heat and he breeds them.
