Florida Gov. DeSantis Signs Bill Banning Ranked Choice Voting

This means cities or counties can't pass their own laws on ranked-choice voting.

It’s wonderful what can be accomplished when you have a Republican executive/legislative “supermajority” in a state as consequential as Florida, especially when the legislature is enthusiastically supportive of the governor. Oh what could have been accomplished at the highest levels in this country had there not been babyish Republicans in Congress and other uncooperative and obstructive officials.
Trump would have worked with them within reason all day long. But working with Trump was just a non-starter for many of them for no reason at all.
