Art that exhibits a disturbing subject matter doesnt necessarily mean its condoning it. Automatons being abused and even raped is nothing new in sci fi. I dont know what the motivation for director's was for making the film. It does sound pretty fricked up though but figuring out where to draw the line when exploring dark subject matter is difficult.
I thought Happiness was hilarious and in no way condoned or promoted child molestation even though it dealt with it in a comical way.
