I'd much prefer seeing him spend some of his political capital with congress and get it enacted into a law.

These department have proven themselves to be a metastasizing cancer that only grows and grows through more employment by the decade.
Put those cancers in safe blue states and as far away from red and purple states as you can.

It never will be overturned for two reasons alone.
1.) Optics are too shitty.
2.) No future president will have the brass balls that Trump does right now to actually cancel it.

This is good policy, on either side of he fence.
IMO, Trump would be the only guy to do this since he paid for his own campaign.

Easy. It's intended as a punishment of Obama administration employees, who were just fired by Trump. The goal is to silence the people who worked in the previous administration. It is purely discrimination based upon ideology.
Now the way for it be legal is to only apply it prospectively. Officials in the previous administration were not advised that taking the job would affect their employment opportunities in the future. It should only apply prospectively.
