Right now, at my hospital, if you code there is no attempt to resuscitate because we need the space and equipment. If it gets to that point you’re automatically labeled DNR.
So, basically, what you're saying is that you've had to toss out your Hippocratic Oath (if you don't have the consent of the patient to not resuscitate) and then don't attempt to resuscitate.

Sounds like decent grounds for a lawsuit since you've admitted to not making any life saving efforts when someone codes.

Not that I sit in judgment. Just an observation.

This gets tricky due to the Emergency Declaration. Under normal circumstances you'd be absolutely correct.

Pence and his team just got a 2 trillion dollar (up to 6 trillion) capitol infusion.

Birx needs to get the straight scoop from these ER nurses if she is going to claim this DNR travesty doesn't exist. Birx's credibility is at stake.

I trust Birx, but she in a safe space in D.C. - not anywhere near the front lines. I think she is being misinformed by supply-chain bureaucrats.

Can you point me to where I can find the language that states doctors and medical professionals can pick and choose who to give life-saving effort to and who doesn't get it? Just curious since you mentioned the EO.

Start with Crisis Standards of Care and it goes from there.

Like I said baw, it's tricky. Under the Emergency Declaration many of the CMS regs are relaxed. It's a tough situation for everyone involved.

If you have an available supply of 10 ventilators, and all 10 are hooked up to patients. Then a patient needing a vent is wheeled into your ER room...

That is the situation the ER nurse in this thread is describing. The regulations don't mean squat. If you are out of machines, you are out of machines.

Here's the vid - she doesn't stutter:

The specific situation referenced is that someone already under care codes, but is not given the courtesy of any life saving effort to resuscitate.

Some places are using CPAP and BPAPs for patients on the lower scale of needing vents. Where possible and appropriate of course.

Here is an excerpt from a Henry Ford Hospitals letter. They admit that they sent out the letter (tough to deny) but now claim it was only a draft, and was never implemented.

quote:

3. Some patients will be extremely sick and very unlikely to survive their illness even with critical treatment. Treating these patients would take away resources for patients who might survive.

It’s discussed at a certain point with the patient and they sign paperwork. It’s not just doctors and nurses making calls in the fly. It’s a messed up situation but it’s happening and it’s awful.

Do you think by posting the same link over and over that it will make someone who doesn't want to watch it click on it?

You don't seem very intelligent.

No, moron.

I do it to guide the thread back to the point of it, and away from all the spam you shills keep posting.

But thanks for helping prolong the thread.

Here's the link again:

They have 10 ventilators in that hospital, and she put her patient on the last available ventilator.

New York has 4000 ventillators in storage that are not being used. Why doesn't her hospital administrator call Cuomo and ask for 10 of their 4000?

This thread is anchored. It won't go to the top of the page when someone replies to it.

That means an admin either realized it's a really crappy/dishonest thread or he saw it duplicates the same topic containing the same video you posted last night.

Is that nurse your granddaughter or something??

I don't believe a damn thing YOU write on the internet.

And I backed up the vid I posted with an article from the Detroit News. LINK
You, on the other hand, are talking out of your arse with nothing to back your babbling.

Not me. I hope everyone got to read it before it was anchored.

Your paranoia is showing...
